Power Juicer

Today I had my first taste of fresh apple juice—I was blown away. My PowerJuicerboyfriend and I received Jack La Lanne’s Power Juicer for Christmas and finally got around to giving it a try. It was so simple to use and fun too!

Our kitchen was filled with a sweet aroma as we juiced a bag full of apples and oranges; even our dog Savannah knew we were up to something delicious. The juice was so smooth and sweet, nothing like I’ve ever tasted from a supermarket shelf. We will never go back to manufactured juice.

Orange juicing was as simple as peeling the rind off the orange and dropping it in the chute; we had to cut up the apples to fit, and in seconds we had juice! The dry portion of the fruit is kicked to the back of the machine as pulp, which can be used later in breads, muffins or pies, making this an almost zero-waste process!

The only downfall is we can’t make a large batch of juice for the week because no preservatives are involved. Every time we want fresh juice we will have to juice it on the spot, and cleaning the machine is a bit labor-intensive… but totally worth it! I’d suggest this product to anyone, especially if you’ve never had real freshly squeezed juice!
