This is the four mile hike into the Kileua Iki Crater at Volcano’s National Park in Hawaii. I took the hike with six people aged 5 to 60 and I highly recommend it to experience the rain forest and the volcano floor. It is appropriate for children if you educate them to the two major dangers, the hill edges going into the caldera as well as the steam vents on the crater floor.
