Engineered lumber was used throughout the house from the glue lam beams and stair stringer and treads, to the subfloor, and Laminated Strand Lumber studs. Engineered lumber has more strength and stability than dimensional lumber like a 2×10 or 2×12 and utilizes lumber in a more efficient manor.
