The House of the Future was designed for solid surface floors from the stained concrete floor to the tile installed over the gypsum floor throughout the main level of the house. The tile floors are great for the radiant in floor heating system since they help conduct the heat. Solid surface floors are also easy to clean, very durable, and contribute to a healthy air quality in the house since they do not hold things like carpet does. You will see wood treads used for the stairs which would typically be carpeting as well. Area rugs are a great way to add color to a room and can easily be changed or taken outside to shake out the dirt.
